Coaching provides a safe confidential partnership to support people who wish to improve their personal or professional situation or make some change or enhance their performance, or develop their best selves.
The agenda is client-led. I use a forward-focussed strengths-based developmental approach, asking powerful questions rather than giving advice. This creates space for people to reflect and access their own insights. In this way it is different from counselling or therapeutic approaches.
I offer individual and group coaching for people at all levels, and particularly for senior leaders, emerging leaders, teams, and peer-cohorts.
I am also a StrengthscopeMasterTM accredited coach and can offer validated strengths assessments for individuals, teams and leaders, including 360s.
Individual coaching can be a one-off session to address a specific issue. Or it can take place over a series of 6 sessions, ideally spaced 2 weeks apart. We will agree specific aims and objectives at our first meeting and review these periodically to ensure our sessions continue to meet your needs. A Strengthscope Strengths assessment can also be part of this.
We can conduct a coaching session in-person or over Zoom and it will last for one hour unless agreed otherwise. You drive the agenda. Coaching sessions will usually begin with us prioritising and agreeing areas that you want to work on in that session.
Individual and leadership coaching can also be supported with an independent and confidential review of your working relationships (a qualitative interpretation of a 360 review with the option to use a Strengthscope360 assessment).
Group coaching applies the same client-led and developmental principles to shared discussions and reflections.
Examples of situations when group coaching can be useful include:
I trained as a personal, executive and group coach with Results Coaching Systems in 2007 and an Action Learning Set Facilitator in 2023. I am also accredited as a StrengthscopeMasterTM coach for individuals, 360s, teams and leaders.
I have a Masters degree in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology from University of East London, UK, awarded 2018.
I also bring more than 30 years of leadership, mentoring and teaching experience in diverse sectors including healthcare/medical, industry/consulting and academia/research. I comply with the International Coaching Federation Code of Ethics.
