Geraldine is an internationally recognised facilitator, keynote speaker, trainer and coach.

Geraldine is Professor Emeritus of Technology Design and Assessment, and most recently Head of the Human Computer Interaction Group in the Department of Computer Science at TU Wien

Her diverse disciplinary background includes a PhD in Computer Science & Electrical Engineering, an MSc in Applied Positive/Coaching Psychology, and international leadership roles in academia, research organisations, and the technology industry. She also had an earlier career in nursing and midwifery in clinical practice and leadership roles. 

Geraldine’s research focused on socio-technical and human-centred perspectives in computing, resulting in numerous publications and impact, and supported by significant external research funds. Geraldine is now an internationally sought-after keynote speaker, leadership development consultant, facilitator, coach and policy advisor. She hosts the Changing Academic Life podcast since 2016. Her portfolio of experiences and achievements uniquely places her as an expert to deliver on ‘developing people and culture’ agendas. 

In her free time she loves running, cycling, scuba diving, and reading ‘Wien krimi’ novels.
